CSL Computer was founded in 1999 as "Computer-Shop Langenhagen" and has since developed into an important company in the field of online trading with PC systems and accessories.
1999 Founding the company
CSL Computer is founded as a general partnership at Walsroder Straße 192 in Langenhagen. We started with a modest space of around 50 square metres and began selling PC systems via the eBay platform.
2002 Our first online shop
- As a result of the growing business, the company moved to larger premises at Walsroder Straße 98, Langenhagen.
- At the same time, CSL Computer was transformed from a general partnership into a GmbH & Co. KG.
- The first own online shop, www.CSL Computer.com, was launched, offering a wider range of products such as complete PCs, upgrade PCs and accessories.
2005 Moving to Godshorn
CSL Computer moved again, this time to Frankenring 14 in the Langenhagen/Godshorn industrial estate, where we were able to significantly expand our warehouse, production and office capacities with a total area of 900 square metres.
2007 100,000 positive eBay reviews
CSL Computer's success manifested itself in reaching the impressive mark of 100,000 positive reviews on eBay, which emphasises the high level of customer satisfaction and quality of the products and services offered.
2008 Moving to Hanover
- Continuous growth necessitated another move, this time to Sokelantstraße 35 in Hanover.
- With an area of approx. 2800 square metres, we at CSL Computer were able to expand our business activities and began using Amazon.de as an additional sales platform for PC systems and accessories.
2011 We become a Microsoft Gold Partner
- CSL Computer was named a Microsoft Gold OEM Partner, which emphasises the recognition of the quality and reliability of the products we offer.
- In the same year, our customers were able to rate our shop and our products for the first time via the independent review portal "eKomi". Well over 110,000 positive customer reviews should be received by 2024. Thank you for your trust!
2012 1,000,000 positive eBay reviews
- Another significant milestone was reached when CSL Computer achieved the impressive number of 1,000,000 positive eBay reviews - only the second company from Germany to do so to date! This year, we were also the eBay retailer with the most sales.
- We also expanded our sales channels and sold our PC systems via the Otto.de platform for the first time.
2014 Our trade fair premiere
- In order to meet the increasing requirements, our premises had to be significantly expanded once again. A total area of around 10,000 square metres was now available for offices, production, storage and shipping.
- For the first time, we were able to present ourselves with our own stand at the world's largest PC games trade fair in Cologne this year.
2015 The first streamer partnership
CSL's first major collaboration with the Youtuber Sarazar marked the beginning of a series of partnerships with well-known streamers and web video producers. This collaboration helped to raise our profile and reach new target groups.
2016 BoostBoxx goes online
With the launch of BoostBoxx as CSL's exclusive gaming shop, we were able to specifically serve the needs of the gaming community with customised gaming PCs from August 2016. 2018 The first trade fair appearance with BoostBoxx
This year, we were represented for the first time with our exclusive gaming shop BoostBoxx at the world's largest trade fair for PC and video games. We were delighted to welcome many interested visitors to our stand. A complete success that motivated us to return to the trade fair with a BoostBoxx stand in 2019.
2019 Our shop in a modern layout
A new layout for our online shop is on the cards! The old shop was getting on in years and we have made extensive technical, visual and content-related innovations so that shopping at CSL Computer runs as it should: fast, secure & easy!
2020-2024 ComputerBild Top Shop award
CSL Computer was awarded the "Excellent" rating as a ComputerBILD Top Shop, which underlines the continuous recognition of our achievements in the area of online trading with PC systems and accessories.
2021 Moving to Langenhagen
- CSL Computer returned to its roots and we moved our company headquarters to Hanseatenstraße 34 in Langenhagen - despite the move, we remained loyal to the Hanover region.
- At the same time, CSL Computer GmbH & Co. KG into CSL Computer GmbH.
2023 Our shop becomes multilingual
CSL goes international! With the introduction of multilingual shop versions in English, French, Italian and Spanish, we expanded our international presence and made it possible for customers throughout Europe to order PC systems and accessories easily and securely.
