The
ASUS ROG Theta 7.1 is a high-end gaming headset with USB-C connection and impressive 7.1 surround sound, suitable for a variety of platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and smart devices. The headset comes with numerous features that provide an immersive sound experience while gaming. Eight ASUS Essence drivers, four per ear cup, and virtual subwoofers deliver incredibly realistic 7.1 surround sound with powerful bass. Four ESS-9601 headphone amplifiers and an exclusively adapted ROG-7.1 DAC in home cinema quality are installed to achieve exceptional loss-free sound. This makes it possible to localise sounds in the game with pinpoint accuracy – so the distance of the enemy, the direction of footsteps, the position of shots and much more can be precisely assessed.
The ROG Theta 7.1 features a uni-directional microphone with AI noise cancellation for clear in-game communication. The microphone boom can be easily removed if necessary. When it comes to design, ASUS focuses on a robust, durable construction. The ear cups and headband are made of an aluminium alloy and offer particularly good heat dissipation so that the headset can withstand the rigours of gaming. A single button switches between surround and stereo sound, and the output volume, microphone input and RGB lighting can also be adjusted on the ear cup – so the most important controls are always at your fingertips.
With customisable AURA RGB lighting, there are more than 16.8 million colour combinations and four preset lighting effects to choose from. In the process, the lighting can be coordinated with existing AURA-capable hardware. The ROG Hybrid ear cushions combine protein leather and mesh to ensure maximum comfort without compromising audio quality.
